By default, our system automatically sends email notifications when a user receives a voicemail. This email will have a sound file attached with a recording of the message that was left for the user. However, the original message will remain in the user’s voicemail box until it is manually deleted.
In this video, we go over how to make one small change to a user’s voicemail box configuration to automatically delete messages once they have been delivered via email.
NOTE:
Existing voicemails which have already been delivered via email will not automatically be deleted. The user will need to access their voicemail and delete the messages manually. A user my access their voicemail box by pressing the voicemail button on their IP Phones or softphone. If their device or application does not have a voicemail button, they can access their voicemail by dialing *98 from any device assigned to their user including Microsoft Teams.
